Interesting series of scrapbook pages taken from the personal collection of C. Everett Bacon a multi-sport athlete who was a two-time All-American quarterback at Wesleyan University where he helped pioneer the use of the forward pass. Bacon also starred in tennis basketball baseball and golf and it was in this capacity that he squared off against the great Babe Ruth at the Mic-Ocean club in Bermuda. Bacon lost by a stroke in the 1937 round as evidenced by the golf card that chronicles their scores. Multiple pages cover the event as well as some of Bacon's other achievements in the 1936-38 period. All in good condition with wear and tears primarily at the edges.
