It is fascinating to think that from the day this photo was taken until its demolition Yankee Stadium was referred to as the "House that Ruth built." The stadium opened on April 18 1923 with Babe Ruth famously hitting his first of what would be 41 home runs his first hit of 204 that would produce a career-high .393 batting average. The 6" x 8" photo depicts the Babe at the end of his legendary swing a blur of motion and torque that would produce 714 home runs in his legendary career. The photo boasts a strong appearance some wear visible consistent with its use and some mild surface wear on both the front and back. The slug is still attached. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
