As the ticket hobby continues to mature the demand for tickets to games played by the sport's greats becomes stronger. Ruth Gehrig Mantle and Cobb tickets are all highly desirable as are tickets for significant seasons. The 1910 New Orleans Pelicans were one of the greatest professional sports teams in Louisiana history. The team's 87-53 record was largely pitching-driven; 20-win seasons from Pat Paige and Otto Hess along with a 19-9 season from Ted Breitenstein helped pace the team. It was the presence of outfielder Joe Jackson however that tipped the scales most dramatically for the team. Jackson's .354 batting average led the Southern Association his only season in New Orleans before being sold to Cleveland where he would re-launch his Major League career and become the stuff of legend. This season ticket entitled the bearer to attend Game 36 that magical season an opportunity to see the future great at the dawn of a legendary - and somewhat tragic - career. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA the ticket presents extremely well with some minor corner wear the ticket's only condition flaw. An outstanding and historically significant ticket.
