Spectacular scorecard published by the American Graphic Company of New York for "The Great Mets " and featuring an illustration of first baseman Dave Orr. Orr a star in his era played for eight seasons compiling a .342 lifetime batting average. The game in question took place against the Brooklyn Grays a team that featured a number of well-known players of the era as well including Bill McClellan George Pinkney and Adonis Terry. The game appears to have been scored to a 1-1 tie though the date written on the scorecard (Saturday June 19 1886) would indicate a 2-1 Metropolitans victory. Despite being separated into two pieces at the fold the 3 3/4" x 5 3/4" scorecard creates a wonderful display its colorful cover and historical significance documenting a 19th Century game between two legendary ballclubs of the era.
