Interesting scorecard of the Bridgeport Giants of 1885 published by Wm. H. Josselyn featuring attractive lithographic artwork on the cover. This is likely one-half of what was once a folded piece the Bridgeport opponent appearing on the reverse side. The 1885 Bridgeport team featured several players who enjoyed major league careers most notably Jimmy Ryan who posted an 18-year career mostly with the Cubs and a lifetime .308 batting average. The Giants scored five runs in this contest though we will never know who they played or what the final score was. Still a very attractive piece from baseball's earliest days.
