One of the more unheralded of the mainstream Goudey sets the 1935 "4-in-1" issue grouped four player images together on a single card each image framed with a blue or white border. The cards could be arranged face-down so that the backs made a puzzle of one of nine different players. Due to the dark borders and 1935 collectors" employment of the cards to complete the puzzle top-condition examples from this set are difficult to come by. This example featuring Giants Hall of Famer Mel Ott along with teammates Hugh Critz Dick Bartell and Gus Mancuso has been conservatively graded EX 5 by PSA. With reasonably sharp square corners and vivid color the card is a visually appealing well-centered example of a key Hall of Famer from the set.
