Exceptional 1921 scorecard scored and heavily notated from a game between the Yankees and Athletics. While many collectors prefer their display materials to be pristine there is a certain attractiveness to a scorecard that is heavily notated with details about the game. It suggests of course that the owner actually attended the game paid close attention and documented the events of the day. In this particular case the notes suggest this was from Opening Day of the 1921 season an 11-1 Yankees victory. Notes on the cover read "Mays pitches a splendid game - a shut out but for a 3-base misplay. Ward's homer in second wins. Ruth gets 5 hits." An exceptional scorecard in apparent EX condition with some mild surface wear on the front but four spots of paper loss on the reverse a clear indicator of scrapbook removal.
