1921 World Series Press Pass issued to journalist Sid Keener for the Polo Grounds games pitting the Yankees against the New York Giants. Won by the Giants in eight games (5 games to 3) the Series featured future Hall of Famers Babe Ruth Home Run Baker Miller Huggins Frankie Frisch Highpockets Kelly Ross Youngs Jesse Burkett Dave Bancroft John McGraw and Hugh Jennings. Keener then a writer for the St. Louis Times was a sportswriter and editor in the St. Louis area until 1951. In 1952 Keener became the director of the National Baseball Hall of Fame a position he held until 1963. The pass is in fair to poor condition with significant surface wear and some paper loss on the front. It has been stamped for all the different games Keener attended at the Polo Grounds. The reverse exhibits significant paper remnants clearly from scrapbook removal. Still a very scarce document of the first Yankees World Series appearance.
