Attractive collector-grade complete set one of the most popular of its era. An "original owner" collection from our Texas find each of these cards was removed from the photo album where it was placed in the 1950s. Prior to inserting into the photo album the cards had been well-loved by the young collector with corner and edge wear throughout the set. Oddly the Hall of Famers have fared better condition-wise than the commons. The set's technical grade breakdown is approximately 2% EX 19% VG/EX 36% VG 26% GOOD 15% FAIR and 2% lesser. Approximately 12 cards have writing on the reverse ranging from pencil markings to magic marker in one case written over paper and affixed to the reverse to "correct" a team affiliation. Two of the cards - Harry Chiti and Solly Hemus - are autographed. Several of the cards exhibit markings on the back from clear tape. We have elected to have five cards graded by PSA.
