Attractive group of cards from the R303-A issue produced in 1939 by the Goudey Gum company along with cards from the very similar V351 issue produced in Canada under the World Wide Gum brand. The R303-A cards are slightly more scarce than the larger redtone "B" and black and white "C" issues and thus command a premium. The V351 cards are extremely scarce commanding a very high premium in all grades. The two issues have very similar designs down to the "How To" illustrations on the reverse though the backs of the Canadian cards are borderless and "Lithographed in Canada" is printed at the bottom of each. An attractive collection averaging VG/EX with some lesser. Collection includes the following: 1) 1939 V351 World Wide Gum (7 cards): Bonura Dean (scrapbook damage on reverse) Hasson Meola Moser Rogers Trosky. 2) 1939 R303-A Goudey (6 cards): Henrich Hutchinson (staining and wrinkling at bottom edge) Lombardi (HOF) Travis (pronounced wear at the right edge) Vosmik and Warneke. Two beautiful - and very similar - issues including seven very scarce cards from the V351 issue. 13 cards total.
