Formerly known as "Scrapps Tobacco " the H.D. Smith & Company of Cincinnati produced these die-cut cards in 1888 to be included in packages of gum. Subjects included the champion Detroit Wolverines and St. Louis Browns a total of 18 different players. This example graded PR 1 by PSA depicts Detroit's Fred Dunlap. Considerable wear and creasing is evident throughout consistent with the grade.
