Extraordinary card of Pittsburgh infielder Sam Barkley with a simply fantastic image and clean untoned surface. Card #19-2 in the issue the card depicts the player with Pittsburgh (some versions of this card depict him with Kansas City of the American Association). The FAIR 20 grade assigned by SGC is simply a result of erased writing on the reverse along with some very minor soiling and overall wear. An example of how back issues affect the technical grade on N172s while the overall card quality is quite appealing - a reason why technical grades are often ignored with N172s.
