Card #20-1 depicts the handsome manager of the St. Paul Freezers John Barnes. This exceptional portrait has been graded POOR 10 by SGC despite an EX-MT appearance thanks towhat appears to be glue residue on the reverse. Such residue is common among Old Judges particularly those with stronger appearances since they were often found mounted in scrapbooks. Portraits among the N172 issue are desirable often sought after by those simply building the subset of portraits found in the issue.
