Coming off his first season as shortstop of the Cleveland Naps Ivan Olson was at the beginning of a 14-year career that would take him through three cities - Cleveland Cincinnati and Brooklyn before his major league career was done. Pictured here on his 1912 T207 card it is not Olson that makes the card special but Napoleon Little Cigars the brand advertised on the card reverse. The majority of T207s from this print group were printed with Recruit Little Cigars ads on the back making the Napoleon brand much more scarce.Graded VG 40 by SGC largely due to wear in the upper-right corner the card is one of two difficult T207s we are featuring in this auction (and a foreshadowing of many more we will be bringing to you in the spring). Indeed this is the only Napoleon-backed Olson to be graded by SGC. A scarce card from one of the hobby"s more interesting prewar issues.Population DataSGC Population: 1 total graded 1 at this level 0 higherPSA Population: unknown (PSA does not classify T207 backs but has graded 39 T207 Olson cards in total)
