I have one to sell!
Once mistaken for E95 and E96 "proof" cards this 20-card "set" consists of cards that were hand cut from a series of baseball-tehemed notebook covers issued in 1913 which featured reproductions of E95 and E96 baseball cards printed on them. Each notebook cover featured five cards and the covers were blank-backed.Each of the set"s 20 known subjects is taken from either the E95 or E96 set. Since they are hand cut none of the cards receive a numerical grade however we elected to submit them to SGC on behalf of our consignor for protection and display purposes.Included in the collection are the following: Red Ames Chief Bender (HOF) Mordecai Brown (HOF) Art Devlin Wild Bill Donovan Ed Konetchy Harry Krause Chief Meyers John Pfeister and Joe Tinker (HOF). The majority of the cards despite being hand-cut and all having wavy borders as a result present very well. The Tinker Ames and Bender cards are marred by creasing (particularly the Tinker which would easily grade POOR if not for the hand cuts) Meyers and Pfiester present light creases and Krause some modest surface wear. The remainder present in the VG to VG/EX range.A collection of ten of the twenty known cards including three Hall of Famers from this interesting and often misunderstood set.
