Considered by many to be the "rookie" card of the popular Hall of Famer the 1937 Goudey Wide Pen premium issue is the first American mainstream issue featuring solely Feller (his 1937 Exhibit is a Four-On-One issue). The card boasts a truly beautiful image an actual image of "Rapid Robert" about to throw a ball that does not seem posed his youthful face intent on a target somewhere in the distance. Graded EX 60 by SGC the card does exhibit some corner wear and toning but is still an exceptional example. Due to the lightweight paper stock making this a condition-sensitive issue just two higher-graded examples currently exist.
