While the playing card format of "W" cards is often overlooked by collectors they do represent significant condition-sensitive cards due to their intended use. Playing cards were certainly meant to be used in card games regardless of the subject depicted on the card; high-grade examples are thus extremely difficult to find today. Presented is that rare anomaly a high-grade W560 featuring the three of clubs Lou Gehrig. Graded NM+ 86 by SGC slight toning and a very minor spot of discoloration at the right edge are the only real flaws in the card.
