A small set featuring six sepia-toned photos of Babe Ruth issued by the company of the same name. Global was for a time the only grading company that would authenticate the cards because they were counterfeited several years ago and the fakes were difficult to detect. This example was graded during the time that Global still had the respect of the hobby; a "first graded" designation as well as the foil label ensures that the card was graded early in that company's tenure. The holder is typically Global; an RF-sealed plastic monstrosity with the card housed in a protective plastic sheath however inside all that plastic is a card that appears much stronger than the assigned grade. An outstanding card from a curious and controversial issue.
