The 1978 season was one of the most memorable in recent Yankees history seeing the team come back from a 14 1/2 game deficit as late as mid-July to catch the Boston Red Sox and overtake them in a dramatic one-game tiebreaker to win the AL East crown. Their victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in six games was the team's second consecutive Championship Cy Young winner Ron Guidry's 25-3 season one of the greatest in Yankees history. Game 5 at Yankee Stadium saw the Dodgers score runs in the first and third innings to jump out to a 2-0 lead only to be beaten by 12 unanswered runs scored by the Yankees in the remaining six frames. The 12-3 Yankees victory featured 18 Yankees hits. The ticket itself is technically in VG/EX condition with some minor wear and very slight bends in the paper but exhibits bright color and gloss an excellent example from one of the Yankees' most memorable World Series.
