Collection of twelve original photos featuring Babe Ruth during his 1947 nationwide tour while employed by the Ford Motor Company. The Bambino acted as a baseball consultant and national director for American Legion Junior Baseball at the time while Ford dealerships were supplying thousands of American Legion teams with uniforms and equipment. All photos in the collection are black and white, measuring approx. 8" x 10", with several including full or partial paper captions on verso attributed to the "Ford News Bureau, West Coast Region." Most exhibit some degree of typical handling wear, including: creases, scuffs, and rounded corners. 12 original photos total.
