Small (1 1/8" x 1/12") black and white player images of unknown origin, with 69 known subjects that seem likely to have been produced in the Pittsburgh area, based upon a large number of lesser-known Pirates included. Though the manufacturer is unknown, the glossy photos were intended to be inserted into clear, plastic keychains. Relatively obscure today, their diminutive size makes them susceptible to wear, and while PSA has only graded 142 examples throughout the entire set, high-grade examples are extremely tough. This is the second-highest graded Mantle, with just one at this level and one MINT 9 example higher. A must for the Mickey Mantle collector.
