Ernie "Moose" Johnson was a rough and dominant defenseman who enjoyed a lengthy professional career from 1905-31. He was a four-time Stanley Cup champion, capturing all of his cups between 1905 and 1910 with the Montreal Wanderers. Johnson switched to the PCHA in 1911 where he remained for the next decade, skating for the New Westminster Royals, Portland Rosebuds, and Victoria Aristocrats. Moose Johnson was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1952. This 1910 Sweet Caporal Hockey Postcard of Johnson, #28 in the set, exhibits rounding at the corners with darker ares of discoloration at the bottom edge and lower-left corner. Otherwise, the card presents beautifully with clean and attractive front and back surfaces. Graded VG 3 by PSA it remains one of only 10 graded examples across both PSA and SGC's population reports combined.
