Right-winger and defenseman Bobby Rowe was one of the few players to compete in three of professional hockey's most significant leagues during his era. He predominantly skated in the Pacific Coast Hockey Association (PCHA), enjoying a brief 25-game stint in the National Hockey Association (NHA), with four appearances in the National Hockey League (NHL) at the end of his career. Rowe is noted for being on the roster for the Seattle Metropolitans who became the first American team to capture the Stanley Cup, a feat they achieved in 1917 after defeating the Montreal Canadiens. This 1910 Sweet Caporal Hockey Postcard of Rowe, #23 in the set and his rookie card, exhibits rounding at the corners with some discoloration at the top-right of obverse. An area of toning is present to verso at the bottom edge. Please note that the vertical line above Rowe's right shoulder is a scratch on the holder and does not impact the card itself. This scratch in the holder was picked up by our camera but is practically invisible when looking at this graded card with the naked eye. Graded VG 3 by PSA it remains one of only 11 graded examples across both PSA and SGC's population reports combined.
