Sharp look at lefty Charles Parsons, one of those rare pitchers who achieved a higher career batting average (.333) than winning percentage (.200)! His five N172 poses show Charlie with Minneapolis of the 1888 Western Association, where he logged a single game and lost despite pitching a complete game and allowing just two runs.

The PSA VG 3 grade shows an above-average image, replete with a detailed and dark-capped uniform, light corner wear, and a few surface smudges that match its technical grade. Its centering and borders each display well for this grade and gives the overall impression of a higher score, thanks to Charlie's compelling image. The combined population reports show two graded examples, with this VG 3 as its highest rating!

This card appears as #361-3's reference image on page 349 of the Old Judge book by Miller, Gonsowski, and Masson. Love of the Game is proud to offer several cards seen in their outstanding work of research and presentation as part of our 100+ N172 listings.
