This SGC VG/EX 4 features MLB vet Ernie Krueger (sic Cruje, as a Spanish approximation) during his one documented winter league season. Ernie likely wanted to extend his pro career for as long as possible and would indeed return to the majors for Cincy not long after. His central portrait shows light surface marks, with some haze on the reverse and chipping along the top edge. Corners remain near-perfect and centering looks ideal. The registration mark at lower right implies this might be a card from the edge of its printing sheet. This is one of just six on the SGC population report, similar to others from this scarce winter league set!
