Extraordinary Type I photo of George Herman "Babe" Ruth crushing a baseball sometime during the early 1930's. Taken from a low angle, the beautifully composed shot of Babe Ruth's powerful swing provides us with a terrific look at the Bambino's profile, batting grip, and Louisville Slugger of choice as he follows through. From this vantage point it really is no wonder the guy blasted 714 home runs over the course of his career! 7" x 9" news service photo of Ruth remains the only Type I of it's kind we are aware of in the hobby, surviving in excellent overall condition with typical light wear at the corners. Verso displays a hint of toning around the perimeter with credit stamping from Wide World applied at the center. A fresh to the hobby example from LOTG's recent Durham Find of Historic Baseball Photography. Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type I photo by PSA/DNA.
