George Herman Ruth demonstrates his batting form in this original Type I photo from Acme Newspictures. According to paper caption dated to 3/8/1932 affixed to verso, the Bambino had recently been experimenting with adjustments to both his grip and stance so he could "clout them farther and faster than ever."  6" x 8" news service photo is a handsome rendition of Ruth exhibiting some general wear at the corners with light but visible creasing and rounding at the extremities. Verso includes credit stamping from both Acme and NEA with a strip of tape residue visible at the bottom edge. Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type I photo by PSA/DNA.
