This unusual Jack "Chief" Meyers variation is an E97 Briggs Lozenge "proof" because several cards from its checklist reached collectors without color on their fronts or anything printed on their backs. Advertising for the company itself, C.A. Briggs Co. of Boston, appears on cards with colored fronts. (Those non-proof cards also show the full checklist of 30 players.)

Meyers himself debuted with the Giants in 1909 and received top-10 votes for the Chalmers Award, the MVP award of its era, three years in a row. Modern analysis credits him with 25+ career WAR, thanks to his solid catching and ability to get on base during a deadball era. 

SGC graded this AUTHENTIC due to corner loss, creases, and other surface issues. These proofs are much tougher to find and population reports show them graded at a fraction of the normal set population. (E97 is already scarce, so this compounds a collector's challenge.) SGC encapsulated just five black-and-white cards of Meyers, less than a fifth of its colorized E97 equivalent!
