Four visual treats from the earliest era of football cards, as the starting 11 lineup for Ivy League schools Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, and Brown appear as visual "dominoes" to fit this Dominoe branded postcard set. A special chance to acquire four of the country's top programs at once, including student notes on game results from clashes on Nov 25, 1905. All four grade SGC 1.5 or 1, reflecting the handwritten notes and scores on each card, as well as soft corners typical of handling and storage for over a century.

All four cards date to rivalry games played on November 25 that closed out the 1905 football season. First, Yale delivered a 6-0 upset of the Crimson on Harvard's home field, an annual playing of what both sides call "The Game" rivalry today. Second, Dartmouth beat Brown 24-6 at Hampden Park in Springfield, MA, with the postcards from Ms. Hamill, likely a student, writing to her mother about Brown's fate. A special moment in time for early football, as captured by this personal collection.
