Fantastic midgrade specimen of Hall of Famer Al Kaline's first card. Graded VG/EX 50 by SGC the card appears much stronger than the grade with sharp corners clean but rough-cut edges and rich red color. Surface wear is primarily responsible for the grade however the card is more pleasing to the eye than most cards in similar technical grades. Al Kaline is one of the more underrated Hall of Famers of his generation; his first card still flies under the radar in terms of value. One of the three important rookies from the 1954 Topps set (the others being of Hank Aaron and Ernie Banks) this is an beautiful example.
