May 30, 1962 New York Mets Shea Stadium ticket stub for a doubleheader against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers beat the hapless Mets in the first game by a 13-6 score, with future Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax gaining his 61st lifetime win, striking out 10 batters. They came back in the nightcap and beat the Mets once again, 6-5, though Gil Hodges hit two home runs for the Mets.

The two home runs Hodges hit off the Mets were his second and third of the day, as he homered in the first game as well, off Koufax.  This was particularly meaningful, as when Hodges was with the Dodgers and Koufax was first coming up with the team, the young pitcher lived with the Hodges family in Brooklyn for some time.  Their first meeting as opponents, Hodges went 1 for 3, his home run to lead off the 4th putting the Mets on the board.

The stub has been graded EX-MT 6 by PSA, with little wear beyond the corners and a slight bit of surface wear.
