Outstanding ticket stub from the deciding game of the 1969 World Series, the first championship for the New York Mets. The Amazin' Mets went into the 6th inning down 3-0 behind excellent pitching from Orioles starter Dave McNally, but reeled off five runs in the 6th, 7th and 8th to move ahead. It was during this game that Mets outfielder Cleon Jones was hit on the foot by a pitch, Mets manager Gil Hodges showing the umpire evidence of shoe polish on the ball as proof - the at bat was followed up by a Donn Clendenon home run and a momentum shift that gave the Mets the Championship. Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA, the stub is in outstanding condition, some light chipping along the bottom edge serving as the primary wear. An outstanding example.
