Grouping of four ticket stubs, each relating to Dallas Cowboys' vintage Monday Night Football appearances. Collection includes the following: 1) November 16, 1970 Ticket Stub Pair - Cowboys' First MNF appearance: Pair of ticket stubs from November 17, 1970, the first appearance of the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football. The Cowboys finished first in the NFC Eastern division in 1970, going all the way to the Super Bowl behind the quarterback tandem of Craig Morton and Roger Staubach. In their first MNF appearance, however, Dallas was shellacked, losing 38-0 by the visiting St. Louis Cardinals. Both stubs appear in FAIR condition with irregular tears, one exhibiting a light crease but both presenting extremely well. 2) Oct. 11, 1971 Dallas Cowboys Vs. New York Giants Ticket Stub Pair - Cowboy's First MNF Win: Pair of two (2) ungraded ticket stubs from the October 11, 1971 Monday Night Football game between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants. The Cowboys defeated the Giants 20–13 in the first Monday Night Football meeting between the teams and the last NFL game at the Cotton Bowl. It was also the first Monday Night Football win in Cowboys history. The Cowboys have made a record 89 appearances on Monday Night Football. Their 51 MNF wins are third all-time, but this was their very first. An important game in franchise history, and an important game in television history. Four stubs total.
