Max Carey famously led the National League in stolen bases on ten separate occasions over his Hall of Fame career, owning the all-time mark until Lou Brock surpassed him in 1974. A fresh to the hobby 6" x 8" photo of Carey in a fielding pose prior to a contest with the Giants at the Polo Grounds. Photo boasts superb image quality and remains in excellent overall condition with Wide World credit stamping applied to verso. Part of a much larger series of images shot by Wide World depicting the World Champion 1925 Pirates in various poses.
