Type I portrait photograph of future Hall of Fame pitcher, Stan Coveleski in 1925. Coveleski, former ace of the Cleveland Indians was traded to Washington in the offseason, joining fellow future Hall of Famer Walter Johnson where they both emerged as 20-game winners, propelling the Senators to a hotly contested 1925 World Series decided over seven games. A fabulously sharp depiction of Coveleski measuring 6" x 8", this is a fresh to the hobby example that displays wonderfully with a smooth surface and just two very small creases to corners on the right side. Affixed paper caption on verso dates the image to 9/10/25 with credit stamping from Wide World above. Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type I photo by PSA/DNA.
