Pair of snapshots measuring 3 1/2" x 5 11/16" both originating from the estate and personal scrapbooks of Walter Johnson. The first of the photos dates approximately to 1924 and depicts the Big Train in formal attire holding a baseball bat posing with a young Baltimore player. The second photo depicts Johnson in full uniform with the Newark Bears the team he managed in 1928. Johnson faced one batter as a pitcher that season and then moved on to become the Senators manager in 1928. The photos both show evidence on the reverse of having been mounted in a scrapbook and are otherwise in VG/EX to EX condition. Both photos were consigned directly from the estate of Walter Johnson.
