Collection of photo negatives of Ty Cobb and his family including two glass-plate negatives and three photo negative copies. The two glass plate negatives depict Cobb's home including one posed on the front steps with what we believe to be his first wife Charlie and four of his five children From the archives of the Sporting News this photo was taken in 1922 according to our research. Cobb's fifth child Jimmy was born in 1921. Also included are negatives of various Cobb family members and animals. The two glass plate negatives are clear and clean though there is a pronounced chip on the edge of the family photo. An outstanding group of six photo negatives capturing the great hitter in a more personal environment.
