Tough first card of Hall of Famer and underrated slugger Ralph Kiner, from the 1947 Tip Top Bread issue.  A tougher card of Kiner, more of a challenge for Hall of Fame Rookie Card collectors who may be less interested in mainstream issues like 1948 Bowman, which is Kiner's more widely-accepted rookie.  Issued a year prior, the Tip Top Bread issue captures Kiner after his breakout 1946 season, his first of seven consecutive National League home run titles. Did you know Ralph Kiner won seven consecutive home run crowns?  In a league with sluggers like Johnny Mize, Stan Musial, Wally Moon, Andy Pafko, Roy Campanella and Gil Hodges, this was quite an achievement.  Perhaps a lesser known statistic, however, is that between 1947 and 1952, Kiner either led or tied all of baseball in home runs, six consecutive seasons outslugging Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, Luke Easter, Al Rosen and Hank Greenberg.  Underrated, indeed.
