Presented here is a pair of two (2) ungraded ticket stubs from the September 21, 1971 matchup between the Dallas Chaparrals and Milwaukee Bucks at Moody Coliseum in Dallas.

In what was the very first game played between an NBA team and an ABA team, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and the NBA's defending champion Milwaukee Bucks just outlasted the ABA's Dallas Chaparrals, 106-103. Kareem's 32 points led the way for the Bucks.

In addition to the NBA/ABA significance, however, this was also the first ever game officially played by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who had previously been known as Lew Alcindor. In a press conference at the State Department on June 3, 1971, the Bucks star stated that, going forward, he wanted to be called by his Muslim name. The translation of "Kareem Abdul-Jabbar" roughly meant "noble one, servant of the Almighty" or "servant of God."

These tickets are a tremendous piece of basketball history on multiple levels.

2 ticket stubs total.
