Attractive postcard featuring Connie Mack's 1905 Philadelphia Athletics. The team which lost the World Series in five games to the Giants was still one of Mack's greatest posting a 92-56 record and featuring three future Hall of Fame pitchers in Eddie Plank Rube Waddell and Chief Bender. While it is not unusual to see Mack's tall suited figure in the middle of the team photo the remaining three Hall of Famers are depicted in the image as are several other favorites of the era like Topsy Hartsel Lave Cross Ossie Schreckengost and Andy Coakley. The postcard which has not been postally used has still been graded FAIR 20 by SGC due to overall wear staining on the photo itself and the year "1905" stamped twice onto the card.
