Collector-grade example of one of the more widely-collected tobacco boxing issues, the T220 set depicts boxers from the 19th Century through the first decade of the 20th Century. As a result, the set packs quite a punch (pun intended), with a large assortment of quality subjects and an attractive format. The issue also contains some very odd illustrations - since boxing was illegal in many places during the 19th Century, many depictions of earlier boxers or fights set the subjects in the woods, clearings, bars or on farms. This grouping grades FAIR in general, with some lesser and a few better. 50 cards total.
