Wonderful 5" x 6 3/4" scorecard printed in two colors compliments of R.B. Grover and Co in Portland. The advertisement seen in the main image here actually appears on the back of the scorecard, the front containing a smaller ad as well as a list of sponsors at the ballpark. The lineups of teams from South Portland and Yarmouthville include several players that had major or minor league ties, including outfielder Frederick Killfeder of South Portland, who played a few seasons in the New England League in the late 1890s. The scorecard was lightly scored in pencil, with some minor staining on the interior panel. The piece is folded down the center, bearing a telltale crease and the paper slightly weaker in that area. Still, a very attractive piece with beautiful period design and typography.
