The playing card format of 1927's W560 set featured 49 baseball players featuring red and black graphics printed on yellow-tinted stock each with black backs. Issued on master sheets of 16, the cards had to be cut apart in order to assemble a full deck, at which point, assuming they survived that operation in good shape, they were invariably played with. To find individual cards in good condition is hard. To find an uncut sheet is a miracle.

Though Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig are the Boardwalk and Park Place of this set, this 16-card uncut panel offered here features 5 Hall of Famers.

Included:

8C Willie Sherdel, 5C Jim Bottomley (HOF), J Lester Bell, J Jimmie Foxx (HOF), 7C Taylor Douthit, 2C Fred Maguire, 10S Jesse Haines (HOF), 4C Max Bishop, 6S Dazzy Vance (HOF), 5S Jim Wilson, 7S Fred Marberry, 4S George Pipgras, 9C Remy Kremer, 10C Goose Goslin (HOF), JS Guy Bush, QS Johnny Mostil

Centering is southeast on the canvas, with the two cards on the bottom right and all four cards on the right side possibly suffering from a less than full surface for their card. Each corner has some wear, though with the borders on the sheet, it appears as if they only card truly affected by this is Queen of Spades Johnny Mostil. Overall, the sheet is Good to Very Good with very little staining, soiling, or surface wear. A very interesting piece that is nearing 100 years old.
