William Henry "Bill" McGunnigle had a brief, yet triumphant managerial tenure in Brooklyn. In only three seasons, his teams went 267-139 (.658) and won two consecutive pennants in 1889 and 1890. The only known pose of McGunnigle in the N172 issue, this example does demonstrate some fading to the image, though corners and edges are very nice for the grade. While the top left corner of the image is slightly faded, the remainder has stayed darker and is easily appreciated.
