Edwin Forrest "Ned" Bligh played for the Columbus Solons of the American Association in 1889 and 1890. Bligh has six poses in
the N172 set, but this example depicting the catcher with his bat ready, over his right shoulder, has the lowest graded population, with this being the only example assessed by PSA.
Centering is slightly south on the canvas, but it is the bold, dark colors which immediately draw your eye. Rounded corners and some staining on the back account for the card's technical grade, however, in this case aesthetics far outweigh any technical issues of this highly sought-after issue.
