Issued over a 17-year period between 1901 and 1917, these attractive supplements were blank-backed, black and white photos that were included with each issue of the weekly men's magazine. The supplements featured not only baseball players but other athletes, actresses, models and other subjects appealing to the readers of a men's magazine. The oversized (issued at 11 1/4" x 16 1/4") pieces are, due to their thin paper and large size, very difficult to find in premium condition, frequently torn, folded, heavily creased and with tears to the thin paper. Presented here is a grouping of four such supplements, each boasting an outstanding image but with a variety of condition issues. Collection includes: 1) Jake Daubert: Issued June 28, 1913, POOR, clear tape on reverse. 2) Harry Davis: Issued April 13, 1907, POOR condition, heavily trimmed and folded with edge wear and irregular cuts. 3) Mike Donlin: Issued September 11, 1909, FAIR condition with corner clips, a fold in the center, and staining on the reverse. 4) Benny Kauff: Issued April 14, 1917, FAIR condition with heavy trimming. Four supplements total.
