E103s were printed on extremely light paper, so finding any graded above the VG level is terribly difficult. The Christy Mathewson is one of the top 3 most sought-after cards in the set, along with Ty Cobb and Honus Wagner. This offering has received an SGC grade of Authentic due to the minimum size not being met. The bottom line of text under "Chris. Mathewson, Pitcher, N.Y." has unfortunately been trimmed, removing the words "The Williams Caramel Co. Oxford, Pa." as was standard for the set. Despite the alteration, this extremely tough example has fantastic eye appeal for such a difficult set.
