Obscure pitcher, Emmett Key "Parson" Perryman, appears in this c.1910's original new service photo from George Grantham Bain's service. A career minor leaguer, Perryman appeared in 25 games for the 1915 St. Louis Browns before returning to the minors where he remained until his career ended in 1930. It's likely Perryman's nickname, "Parson," was granted in jest as he hailed from Emory University, a Methodist institution. The upper-right corner of this photo is missing a small area of paper which does not impact the central image. Verso includes credit stamping from Bain's service along with a date stamp that has been partially removed. Guaranteed Type 1.
