The 1961 Topps issue was one of the company's largest to that point nearly 600 cards including many subsets. Mickey Mantle was prominently featured on five of the cards (not to mention the 1960 Leaders cards) and as the most expensive cards in any 1960s issue five Mantles can make collecting the 1961 set cost prohibitive for many. Presented here are two of the Mantle cards - his standard #300 card (graded EX 60 by SGC) as well as his high number #475 MVP issue (graded EX+ 70). Easily falling into the EXCELLENT range both cards exhibit a clean image without much of the printing issues common to 1961 Topps. The MVP card does contain some telltale print snow (as almost all the 1961 MVP cards do) but the cards remain outstanding mid grade examples from a very popular - and very large - set.
