Eddie Collins was a Hall of Fame second baseman who played 25 MLB seasons (1906 to 1930) between two different teams: the Philadelphia A’s and the Chicago White Sox. Offered here is an original example of a circa 1917 Eddie Collins “YMCA” Louisville Slugger (Model 125) bat. This YMCA-branded Model 125 Louisville Slugger bat was actually issued to U.S. troops overseas to use during World War I. The bat, which measures 34” long and weighs approximately 34 ounces, is in outstanding condition, well-preserved with no of chips or cracks, and only a few light areas of checking. The wood-burned logos and the facsimile autograph on the barrel are bold and strong. A great example of baseball memorabilia that was enjoyed by U.S. military personnel during a difficult time in our country’s history.
